JU ORGANIZES LECTURE ON “CYBER CRIME AND CYBER ETHICS”

The P.G. Department of Commerce, University of Jammu today organized a special lecture on “Cyber Crime and Cyber Ethics” for the students and scholars. The event aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of cyber security and ethical digital practices. The programme commenced with the formal welcome address by Dr. Jyoti Sharma, coordinator of the event. 

Er. Vikas Razdan, Cyber Forensic Analyst with SIA Jammu, an esteemed expert in the respective field was the keynote speaker. With his deep understanding of cyber 1885security issues, he provided invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of cyber threats and the importance of ethical conduct in the digital realm. The lecture delved into various aspects of cybercrime including types of cyber-attacks, common vulnerabilities and strategies for their prevention. He further highlighted the need for heightened awareness and proactive measures to safeguard personal and organizational data from malicious actors. Moreover, the discourse on cyber ethics emphasized the ethical considerations inherent in digital interactions and transactions. Participants gained a deeper appreciation for the ethical dilemmas posed by emerging technologies and the ethical responsibilities of individuals and organizations in the digital age. The Department expressed gratitude to Er. Vikas Razdan for his insightful presentation and commended the attendees for their active participation and engagement.
