Film Club

Overview:

The film club seeks to promote cinematic culture among the University students, its alumni and the members of civil society. The idea is to incentivise the making of a milieu where 'prose and poetry in motion' becomes one of the great sources for aesthetic and academic excellence. 

The film club shall always remain a site of autonomous, open ended space where any creative idea from all categories of its members is always welcome. It is through the free flow and unstructured exchange of the ideas that the club intends to grow further in time and space and make its own mark.

Objectives:

1.  To strive to motivate students and its members towards the creative world of film.

2.  It would serve as a platform for students to explore the world of cinema as an educational, cultural and artistic expression.

3.  To enhance the interest and technical knowledge of all the students and its other categories of members who aspire to enter the world of visual media.

4.   It would also strive to create a network of those, particularly in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, involved in the process of film making and get them to share their experience and expertise to our member in particular and the audience in general.
