Augmenting the values of mutual understanding and promoting national integration, The Law School, University of Jammu hosted a special interaction session with 25 participants from five different districts of Haryana, along with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) volunteers and officials. This interaction was a part of the five-day Inter State Youth Exchange Program (ISYEP) organised by NYKS under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India. During the visit, they had an interactive session with faculty and students from the Law School. This interaction not only provided a platform for cultural exchange but also exposed the participants to the latest developments in the legal field.

9127Several esteemed speakers engaged with the participants throughout the visit, including Prof. Raghvendra Singh from Shimla University, Sh. Subash Gupta, Rtd. Judge and Former PSC Member, Sh. Pankaj Khajuria, Senior Journalist from Greater Jammu, Dr. Shubha Vats and Dr. Bindu Sangra, faculty members of The Law School, University of Jammu. These experts shared their valuable insights on various topics, aiming to foster national integration and mutual understanding. 

 The participants from Haryana, including Harish Kumar, Kamal, Jyoti, and Kuldeep, specifically shared their experiences during the camp. They expressed that the sagacity, valour, richness of culture, and values of fraternity unique to Jammu and Kashmir had significantly changed their perception of the region. In addition, Ishita Bandral, Tanya, Pratham, Jaspreet, and Rehaan from the Law School showcased the major highlights of Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the state’s culture, heritage, and diversity.

 Earlier Prof. Seema Rohmetra, Director of The Law School, University of Jammu in her welcome address, Prof. Seema Rohmetra, Director of The Law School, University of Jammu, emphasized the importance of such visits. She informed that this program would serve as a dynamic platform for learning, networking, and cultural exchange, fostering unity, leadership, and innovation among young participants.

 The visit to the University of Jammu was coordinated by Dr. Nitan Sharma, a faculty member of The Law School, University of Jammu. Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and insightful engagements, Mr. Nitin, District Youth Officer of Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu, extended heartfelt thanks to the faculty members of The Law School for their cooperation and support, which contributed to the success of the visit.
