• 10-9-2024 The Law School, University of Jammu vistied the J&K High Court Complex, Jammu for an educational and first hand learning experience  for the 3rd year students.

• 21-8-2024 The Law School organised a distinguished lecture by Dr. Adish Aggarwala, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, and President, International Council of Jurists, London, on the topic "How to become a Successful Lawyer: Insights, Strategies & Career Paths". On the sidelines of session, Dr Aggarwala, in his capacity as President of the ,International Council of Jurists, London, bestowed lifetime membership of council upon the faculty members of The Law School, recognizing their contributions to the society at large.

 

• 17-8-2024 The Law School, University of Jammu organized a highly informative panel discussion titled Critical Appraisal of Cyber Laws: A Way Ahead. Panel of Experts includes Rajesh Tandon (Retd.) Senior advocate Supreme Court of India and former chairperson of Appellate Tribunal, Government of India, Mohd Yaseen Kichloo, SSP, Cyber Investigation Centre for Excellence. and Aditya Kaul, Advocate of Supreme Court.

• 16-8-2024 The Law School, University of Jammu, organized an interactive session on 'The Art of Mooting and Advanced Legal Research' . The session proved to be an enriching experience for the participants, providing them with practical knowledge and expert guidance to enhance their mooting and legal research skills.

 

• 13-8-2024 To celebrate Independence Day, Flag hoisting ceremony was held by The Law School of the University of Jammu. Faculty members and students from various semesters attended the event, sang the national anthem in unison.

• 09-8-2024 The Law School, University of Jammu in collaboration with the National Insitute of Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India conducted a one day workshop "Navigating Transgender Person Act, 2019,and Rules, 2020: Social, Legal and practical perspectives".

 

• 08-08-2024 The Law School, University of Jammu, organised  a Lecture on the topic Mediation Act 2023: A Paradigm shift in Dispute Resolution. the resource person for the event was  Rajesh Tandon (Retd.) Senior advocate Supreme Court of India

• 16-07-2024 The Law School ,University of Jammu in collaboration with Sheir-i- Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA),Udhampur, organized an online workshop focusing on recent reforms in criminal laws.

• 11-06-2024 The Law School, University of Jammu, in collaboration with the Daffodils Project and supported by the Euphrates Institute, an educational and global grassroots peacebuilding organization, has launched an initiative aimed at documenting and reviving indigenous peace leadership in India. The resource person for this event was Tamana Slathia, the founder of The Daffodils Project.
• 07-06-2024 The Law School and Department of Law, observed World Environment Day with the installation of bird water feeder pots in The Law School and Department of Law, University of Jammu, in response to the prevailing intense heat wave conditions. Subsequently, a poster-making and slogan-writing competition was organized to heighten awareness among students on the theme "Our Land... Our Future... We are #GenerationRestoration."

• 03-06-2024 The Law School, University of Jammu, organised an insightful interaction and lecture on the topic "Human Rights Jurisprudence and Domestic Violence Laws". The session was led by Advocate Uma Kapahi, Panel Lawyer, DLSA, Jammu, and provided a comprehensive overview of the Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

 

• 05-03-2024 The Law School, University of Jammu visited the Model Police Station (PS) Gandhi Nagar (Jammu) for an educational and first hand learning experience  for the 3rd year students

• 04-03-2024 The Law School, University of Jammu today concluded a one-month internship programme in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K. under the guidance of Director Shri Shakti Kumar Pathak and Prof. (Dr.) Manju Jamwal, Director of The Law School. 

• 29 01 2024 Law School organizes guest lecture on start up eco system & interactive session on startups in legal domain. the session was handled by Ishan Verma, President, J&K Startup Association.
• 19-01-2024 The Law School, organised Practice Session on Mental Health: Issues, Challenges & Solutions with the students & faculty members of The Law School by The Art of Living Program Team.

• 1719-12-2023 The Law School in collaboration with NSS CAMPUS Unit 3, University of Jammu organized symposium on topic “‘VIKSIT BHARAT @ 2047 with special reference to Sustainable Development Goals’ initiative with an aim to actively involve students and faculty members in shaping the vision of a developed India by 2047.
• 30-11-23 The Law School, University of Jammu organized an interactive session on ‘Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace. The key speaker of the function was Mrs. Neeta Verma Advocate Supreme Court of India. who emphasised on the sincere implementation of POSH Act.
• 24-11-2023 Law School, University of  Jammu, in collaboration with The Tribal Research Institute, Tribal Affairs Department J&K, organized a one-day seminar on “Tribal Rights and Constitution of India” as part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Saptah- 2023 celebrations. Mukhtar A Choudhury, Secretary J&K Advisory Board for Development of Scheduled Tribes, Dr Abdul Khabir, Dy Director, Tribal Affairs Department, and Dr Javaid Rahi were among dignitaries on the occasiom
• 02-08-2023 The Law School organized a  interactive session where Mr. Amandeep Singh and Ms. Roshni Sharma, both alumni of the institution, interacted with students to discuss the future prospects of law graduates in the corporate world. The session provided an insightful dialogue on the evolving roles, opportunities, and challenges that await aspiring legal professionals in corporate environments. Mr. Singh and Ms. Sharma shared their experiences and perspectives, offering valuable advice to students aspiring to navigate and succeed in corporate legal careers.

• 10-5-2023 The Law School, JU, organized a legal awareness Camp in Marh Bagh Village in collaboration with GHS Madh Bagh Zone Marh Distt, Jammu The Students of B.A.LLB (5 Years)10th and 8th semester participated.

• 13-03-2023 The Law School at JU organized an interactive session featuring alumnus Gurveer Singh, focusing on the topic of preparation for the Army Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG Corps). This event provided students with valuable insights into the requirements, challenges, and strategies for successfully entering the JAG Corps, drawing on Mr. Singh's personal experiences and expertise in the field. The session aimed to equip aspiring candidates with practical advice and guidance to enhance their readiness for a career in military law.
• 10-01-2023 The Law School at JU organized an interactive session featuring alumna Advocate Meenu Padha, focusing on the topic of mental and physical harassment in the workplace. This event provided a platform for discussing the legal frameworks, challenges, and solutions related to workplace harassment, drawing on Advocate Padha's extensive experience and expertise in the field.

• 07-11-2019  The Law School & Gandhi Peace Foundation Jammu Chapter organised an Expert lecture on Mahatma Gandhi & 21st  Century. The resource person for the event was Prof. Anil Dutta Mishra
• Ten Meritorious Alumni qualified Kashmir Civil Services (Judicial Exams), 2019. Ms. Urvashi Raina from The Law School was the overall topper in the selection list.

• 28th Nov 2018: Two Day Regional Workshop on Biological Diversity Laws organized by United Nations Development Programme in collaboration with The Law School, University of Jammu and The National Law School of India University, Bengaluru under the UNDP-GEF "Strengthening Human Resources, Legal Frameworks and Institutional Capacities to Implement the Nagoya Protocol."
• 23rd October 2018: NSS, University of Jammu in collaboration with The Law School and Gandhi Peace Foundation (Jammu Chapter) organised One Day Workshop on the theme : Mahatma Gandhi, Swachhta and Role of Students
• 10th October 2018: On the occasion of World Mental Health day, The Law School Literary Society , University of Jammu in collaboration with ,Yakjah Reconciliation and Development Network organised a workshop on the theme ‘Dialogue on Mental Health : Gender and Legal Perspective’
• 5th-7th October 2018 :  Surana & Surana National Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition -2018 (India North Rounds) on Criminal Law was organised at The Law School.
• 27th Aug 2018: The Literary Society of the Law School, University of Jammu, organized an expert lecture on Article 370 and Article 35A by Prof S K Sharma, Constitutional Expert and Former Member, State Information Commissioner, J&K.
• 16th August 2018:  The Law School organized Orientation Program and Justice J. P. Singh, former Judge, J&k High Court delivered lecture to the students.
• Six Meritorious Alumni who qualified Kashmir Civil Services (Judicial Exams), 2018 were felicitated by the Law School, University of Jammu. The students were Sidhant Vaid, Shama Sharma, Meera Bangotra, Assma Choudhary, Maleeka Sharma and Ananta Raina.
